In mid October I got together with some gorgeous New Zealand vendors to create this dark and moody, vintage, Halloween themed styled shoot that I happened to plan in less then two months.
We found the most gorgeous location just down the road from where I grew up in Wainuiomata, Wellington and it just happened to be owned by people we knew (small world!) who let us use it for the afternoon.
Our models, Grace and Sam are not only wonderful people but a gorgeous and in love couple that we were lucky enough to have join us for the shoot. Hopefully you see them on the blog in a few years time getting married for real!
You see that stunning hair and makeup? That's Rubyretro's gorgeous handy work! Kristy who runs Ruby Retro was so lovely and for the first time working with her I felt like we were old friends.
All the stationary was created by The Ess Letter, I told her the theme of the shoot and she created stationary that fitted it perfectly (such a talented creative!)
A couple shoot in the Wairarapa the night before made picking up our gorgeous cake from CakeLab NZ super easy. Not only was it pretty but everybody joined in on eating it at the end and it tasted fantastic too. (a great bonus!)
The dress was provided by the stunning Trish Peng who was our only non Wellington vendor, based out of Auckland. How gorgeous is that dress on Grace!
The morning of was certainly a busy one. Before props I ran up to get our flowers from Flowers Rediscovered who went above and beyond to provide us with gorgeous flowers that fitted the theme. We then made the short trip up to pick up the gorgeous vintage furniture and props from The Vintage Party. Everything we got was stunning and truly made the shoot come together.
